What are your shipping fees?
The European Gift Store offers standard free shipping in the continental USA with orders over $25.00
USA (Continental) Flat Rate Shipping (2- 14 day delivery):
$3.95 fee for orders under $25
FREE for orders over $25
Perishable & Chocolate Shipping Options
During hotter months of April - September, perishable and products that melt easily require expedited 1-2 day shipping for $25.00 and will be packages with cold ice packs to keep your order cool during transit. Please note that ice packs will melt during transit but will keep your product cool during shipping.
Candy & Chocolate shipments are not guaranteed to arrive in solid form with out the purchase of this insulated packaging and shipping. We do not accept liability for melted merchandise without expedited shipping. Any melted or spoiled items will only be replaced if you have purchased the Perishable Shipping or Next Day Air options.
Please note that the cooled shipping option is only able to retain the temperature of your goods for approximately 30-40 hours. We highly recommend pairing the cooling supplies with our faster Next Day Air shipping method for all heat sensitive and perishable items, which will help minimize exposure during transit. You may choose the slower shipping at your own risk, however we can not guarantee that the merchandise will arrive without damage during hotter temperature months of April - September. We strongly suggest Next Day & 2nd Day Air shipping for all perishable shipments.
We will not ship chocolate or perishable items later in the week, to avoid the package sitting in hot terminals or trucks during transit.
Do you ship to the USA?
Yes, we only ship with the USA at this time from our warehouse in North Carolina. The European Gift Store is a North Carolina based business.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
YES! UPS and USPS Expedited Shipping fees will display in your shopping cart and fees are based upon the shipping address & weight of your order.
Please note that shipping windows are estimates and delivery dates cannot be guaranteed and order volumes may impact shipping time.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we do!
International orders over $250.00 have FREE Economy shipping!
During checkout, you will have various shipping options presented to you based upon the destination shipping address.
You will be responsible for any customs, duties and taxes. We will not refund orders that were returned for non-payment of customs, duties or taxes.
When will my order ship?
Your order will usually ship with in 48 hours for in stock items in our USA warehouse but can take 1-14 days from the day you placed the order depending on the current order volume. You will receive an email when your package has shipped. Orders with more than one item may arrive in multiple shipments. Rare exceptions may occur if a product is out of stock and delivery may be delayed.
Once shipped your item generally will arrive between 1-7 days and is dependent upon the shipping carrier & method you choose during checkout.
Please note shipping timeframes are shown to give you an estimate and are not guaranteed delivery dates as no carrier is honoring delivery dates at this time.
Do you offer green shipping?
Yes. In our continued effort to minimize waste and lessen our impact on the environment, please note that your order may arrive in a slightly used shipping box.
What if I have an issue with my delivery?
In the rare circumstance that your shipment arrives damaged, please report this damage to us within 7 days of receipt.
How do I track my shipment?
When your order ships, we will email the tracking information for your package. You may also log into your account to see your order history and tracking information or simply chat with us now (bottom right of screen) to get up to date tracking information. Our customer service agents sees the same tracking information as you. In some cases, international orders can take up to 6 weeks to clear customs. Most likely, your order is still in transit from one country to the next. Once it arrives at the next port, airport or destination, the package will be scanned and the tracking information will automatically update. If it has been over 7 weeks, please let us know and we can try to ship your order again.
Will my shipment require a signature at delivery?
Orders over $100.00 are shipped insured delivery at no additional charge. A signature is required upon delivery.
Will my shipment be insured?
During checkout you will have the option of purchasing insurance that will cover damage, lost or stolen packages.
Do you ship from the USA?
Yes, all orders will ship from our warehouse in North Carolina.
Payment FAQs
What payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner's Club, Apple Pay, Paypal, Affirm & Afterpay. If you decide to use Paypal, AfterPay or Affirm, you’ll be taken to their website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.
Why was my payment declined?
Your credit card may have been declined if the billing address does not exactly match what is on your credit card billing statement. This is done to help prevent fraudulent transactions. If the billing information is accurate, then we must refer you back to your credit card company to discover why they declined your transaction.
What business name will be on my statement?
Your credit card statement will show The European Gift Store as the company for charges on theeuropeangiftstore.com
Can I place an order by phone?
To prevent fraud, we do not accept credit card orders by phone. Orders must be placed via our website or text so that we are able to verify & secure customer information. Please text us at 828-844-5564 and we can send you a link to complete your payment and order.
Return & Exchanges FAQs
What is your return policy?
Here at The European Gift Store, we value our customers. Since your trust is of upmost importance to us, we want you to be completely happy with every purchase. If you are not satisfied, for any reason, we are glad to accept returns of saleable merchandise for a full refund or exchange.
Returns are accepted within 20 days of receipt. Returned merchandise should be in the same condition as when you received it. Meaning it must be unworn, undamaged, saleable, with original tags and packaging (if applicable).
Altered items, subscription boxes, special orders, food, perishable or personalized/monogrammed items, and items identified as "final sale" cannot be returned.
We reserve the right, at its sole discretion, to determine if returned merchandise is in saleable condition.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.
How do I start a return?
The European Gift Store makes returns and exchanges as simple as possible.

Enclose the Return section of the packing slip with your item(s), noting the reason(s) for return and whether you wish to exchange the item(s) or receive a credit or refund (based on your form of payment).
General FAQs
What is your rewards program?
The European Gift Store offers a simple reward program for our customers. For every $100 you spend, you will earn a $5 reward. Simply log into your account to track and use your rewards.
Can you explain European food dates and how they differ from American expiration dates?
The best before date is used in Europe to indicate the date until the food retains its expected quality. The food is safe to consume after the indicated best before day. The best before date is used to give guidance on the date in which it retains its specific properties such as aroma, flavor or texture and has no indication in regards to food safety. (There is much debate in the EU currently to help clarify these dates and labels, as it has been found that good food is being thrown out prematurely.)
The use by date on a product indicates the date until when the food can be eaten safely. (Equivalent to an American expiration date) The use by date can be found on highly perishable (from a microbiological point of view) foods such as milk, yogurt, meat, unpasteurized fruit juices, etc.
When reading an European date, please note that it is written in DD/MM/YEAR. For example, 04/09/2022 is September 4, 2022.
